Welcome to the website of the Korean Academy of Conservative Dentistry (KACD)!
Founded in 1959, the Korean Academy of Conservative Dentistry is one of the oldest dental academic societies and We are making ceaseless efforts to enhance the rights and interests of members and to strengthen our relationships.
Conservative Dentistry is a very important dental discipline that prioritizes preserving/maintaining natural teeth, which are one of our bodies, without extract, and promotes lifelong oral health by restoring teeth functionally and aesthetically through the best treatment methods.
Our society holds academic conferences, publishes academic journals, and trains dental specialists. In addition to basic activities as an academic society, such as curriculum development for students and residents, we are striving to strengthen communication with the public and dentists by publishing a ‘position statement’ on the academic journal and website every year to find sensitive topics related to the field of the conservative dentistry and present it as a standard at the academic level.
Since 1999, we have been running a joint scientific meeting with Japanese Society of Conservative Dentistry (JSCD) for the internationalization of the society, and we have formed the Asia-Oceania Dental Conservation Federation (AOFCD) to promote exchanges with the Asian and Oceania regions in 2016.
In addition, the name of the official journal was changed to RDE (Restorative Dentistry & Endodontics) 10 years ago and a lot of time and effort have been invested, and as a result, the desired results as an international academic journal have been seen.
We will do our best to inherit the history and tradition of the KACD and to make sure that the projects carried out so far bear fruit, while diversifying the academic society through diversity and expansion, strengthening the solidarity of its members, and becoming a Korean Association of Conservative Dentistry (KACD) that is closer to the members.
Thank you for your interest and support.
President of Korean Academy of Conservative Dentistry
